Dallas Bienhoff

Manager, In-Space and Surface Systems, Advanced Space Exploration at The Boeing Company. He is responsible for developing concepts and capturing contracts related to fixed orbital infrastructure systems (e.g., in-space propellant depots, orbiting assembly nodes, Deep Space habitats, communications & navigation networks), Moon and Mars surface systems (e.g., habitats, rovers, mining and processing equipment), and human servicing missions. He is also responsible for identifying, capturing, and creating commercial space opportunities in the Earth-Moon system. Dallas has 36 years of space systems experience with 28 in advanced programs development. He has led internal and contract many studies on Space exploration architectures, Earth to orbit transportation architecture studies, and lunar habitat concepts.

Eric Clough

Having lived in Brussels and London as a child, Eric received his Bachelor of Arts with a major in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and his Master of Architecture from Yale University. Before starting 212box, he worked with Steven Harris Architects on the NYC2012 Beach Volleyball Court and Olympic Archery range, and consulted directly for the NYC 2012 initiative. Eric’s European upbringing and constant travel have enriched his sense of texture, craftsmanship, pattern making and detailing and his interest in everything from product design to film to futurism has helped form 212box’s identity as a boundary-breaking design leader. His clients include Philip Roth, Tatiana von Furstenberg, and Christian Louboutin.

Anita Gale

Anita is a member of the National Space Society’s Board of Directors & serves on their Executive Committee. She was Senior Project Engineer in Space Shuttle Payload & Cargo Integration, for The Boeing Company in Houston. She provided conceptual designs for cargo integration on future launch vehicles, contributed to R&D for Shuttle upgrades and future missions of both reusable and expendable launch vehicles. Anita's work with Space Settlement Design Competitions was recognized by NSS in 2008 with presentation of a Space Pioneer Award. Anita is a member of the AIAA Space Colonization Technical Committee and earned both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Washington.

Richard Godwin

Richard is Founder & President of Space Technology Holdings, a space technology incubator and consultancy company. A lifelong space enthusiast he has held many leadership positions in space companies and nonprofit organizations. He co-founded Apogee Books in the early 1990’s and continues to serve as Apogee’s President. He helped create and manage Zero Gravity Solutions from inception through taking the firm public. He has generously given of his time to nonprofit space organizations serving several terms of the Boards of the National Space Society and the Space Frontier Foundation. He earned an MBA from the University of Leeds in the UK, and is a gifted public speaker.

Kirby Ikin

Mr. Ikin is the Managing Director of Asia Pacific Aerospace. APAC offers broad consulting services to the commercial space industry including market analysis, industry analysis, risk management and insurance advice. Prior to his role with APAC, Mr. Ikin worked directly in the space insurance, risk management, and commercial space fields for the past 14 years. Kirby Ikin has a long and varied involvement within the Australian Space Industry and has held executive positions with various space interest groups. Currently he is the Chairman of the Board of the U.S. based, worldwide National Space Society (NSS), having succeeded Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin in this position. His professional qualifications include a Bachelor of Law degree and Bachelor of Commerce degree.

John Mankins

President of Artemis Innovation Management Solutions, he is a leader in space systems and technology innovation, and a highly effective manager of large-scale technology R&D programs. Mr. Mankins' 25-year career at NASA and CalTech's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) ranged from flight projects and space mission operations, to systems level innovation and advanced technology research & development management. Before leaving NASA, Mr. Mankins was the manager of Exploration Systems Research and Technology within the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate with responsibility for an $800M annual budget, involving more than 100 individual projects and over 3,000 personnel. For 10 years, he was the manager of Advanced Concepts Studies at NASA, and the lead for critical studies of space solar power, highly reusable space transportation, and affordable human exploration approaches.

Tom Olson

For over three decades, Mr. Olson has been a business systems engineer and analyst in the Communications, Aerospace, and Publishing sectors, adding value for a wide range of companies from large engineering firms to major publishing houses. He is a seasoned specialist in enterprise content management, digital asset management, and data security. He co-founded Exodus Consulting Group, in 2007, as a "catalyst" for space-related tech startups and Angel/VC/Institutional investors. From 2011-2015, Exodus Consulting Group was the project management contractor for theNewSpace Business Plan Competition, now a project of the Center for Space Commerce and Finance, a non-profit founded in 2015. A serial entrepreneur, he is a Founder of both Esprit Data, and CMD Services, and consults on fundraising and business development for Avealto, Ltd., in the UK. His first book, “The Space-Scalable™ Strategy: How to profitably invest in the New Space Economy without being a self-made billionaire”, launches in January, 2017.

Bruce Pittman

Bruce is a member of the National Space Society Board of Directors and serves as Senior Vice President. He is the founder and president of Profit Engineering Technologies and is currently working as a contractor at NASA as the Director of Flight Projects and Chief System Engineer in the NASA Space Portal and the Emerging Space Office at the NASA Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley. He has been involved in high technology project development, project management and system engineering in a variety of industries for over 30 years. Mr. Pittman has also been a founder and member of the startup team in a number of early growth companies including SpaceHab, Kistler Aerospace, New Focus, Product Factory, Prometheus II Ltd. and Industrial Sound and Motion.

Seth Potter

Currently working with BTAS developing training courses for the US Air Force’s Space & Missile Systems center, Seth served for 15 years as a Principal Engineer/Scientist at The Boeing Company where his work included satellite servicing, space solar power, Mars exploration, lunar exploration, and communications satellites. He has written or co-written nearly 30 articles, papers, and book chapters in the fields of space solar power, space telescope servicing, wireless power transmission, advanced space missions, and energy. Seth Potter is also a member of the Steering Committee of the NASA Aerospace Technology Working Group (ATWG). Seth Potter holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Physics from Columbia University and a Doctorate in Applied Science from New York University.

Josh Powers

Josh is currently Senior Systems Architect for O3b Networks and volunteers as Deputy Director of DC Operations for Explore Mars Inc. He previously worked as a Senior Systems Engineer for Scitor Corporation and served as Senior Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of the National Space Society. He currently co-chairs the annual Humans to Mars Summit and previously chaired the 2008 and 2012 International Space Development Conferences. Mr. Powers received a B.S. in aerospace engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an M.S. in mechanical engineering from The George Washington University. He lives and works in Northern Virginia.

Dennis Wingo

Founder and CEO of Skycorp Inc. since 1998, Wingo is an experienced professional with over 30 years of experience in the computer, academic, and aerospace industries. Skycorp was the first to rescue and operate a spacecraft (ISEE-3) in interplanetary space, and did it in less than 90 days. Skycorp also rescued and brought images back from the NASA Lunar Orbiters, and from the NIMBUS Earth Observation Satellites. Skycorp started the Lunar Orbiter Image Recovery Project (LOIRP), and rescued the only remaining tape drives capable of playing the master tapes of the 1960's era Lunar Orbiter Program. He has extensive publications regarding solar electric propulsion, advanced mission planning, and lunar surface operational scenario development. His first book, "Moonrush", is about developing lunar resources.
