Mars On Earth

Members of the Mars Society, unable to wait until they could actually go to Mars, established a simulated Mars base in the High Arctic. This remote location offered a hostile environment that was extremely cold and dry. Various crews visited the station and developed insights about many of the challenges people will face during the initial exploratory crewed missions to Mars.
